Amsterdam Exchange 2013

In the Spring of 2013, I participated in an International Exchange program in Netherlands at the Amsterdam Hogeschool Voor de Kunst. I worked in design, video, sculpture and printmaking. Featured here are some works I created through use of laser-cut and traditional printmaking processes.

Danny is a series of photographs rendered on wood through use of lasercut, and then printed as a traditional woodcut on paper. Edition of 2.

Curry Flavor, Happy Farrah Birthday, and King Storm are all personal images pulled from Facebook and then printed as a relief through use of lasercut. The only thing that the images have in common is that they are all 'unsuccessful' photographs; blurry, blown out, or with heads cut off, the images challenge which memories we choose to value over others, and what we end up showing on a social platform. Edition of 3.

I'm not brave enough is type printed as a woodcut. Edition of 20.
